5 Ways to Live with Art

Spring Moments Mini Abstract Collection 2021

As an artist, my world revolves around creation. But the journey doesn't end when a piece leaves my studio. In fact, it's just beginning. I believe art is meant to be lived with, to be integrated into the fabric of your daily life, not just admired from a distance.

So, let's explore 5 ways to truly live with art, from my perspective to yours.

1. Daily Rituals & Reflection.

My Perspective: I often find myself revisiting my own works, noticing new details and layers of meaning. I encourage you to do the same.

Your Home: Dedicate a few moments each day to engage with a piece. It could be while enjoying your morning coffee, during a quiet evening, or simply as you pass by. Allow it to spark reflection, conversation, or a moment of peace.

2. Curate Your Space, Tell Your Story.

My Perspective: Each piece I create is a fragment of my story, my thoughts, and my emotions. Your collection, similarly, reflects your unique journey.

Your Home: Arrange your art in a way that resonates with you. Don't be afraid to mix styles, mediums, and sizes. Create a gallery wall, a focal point in a room, or even a rotating display. Let your art tell your story.

3. Engage with the Details.

My Perspective: I pour countless hours into the details of my work, from the texture of the embroidery to the subtle nuances of colour.

Your Home: Take time to observe the intricacies of your art. Notice the brushstrokes, the layering, the subtle shifts in light and shadow. Engage with the physical presence of the piece.

4. Rotate and Rediscover.

My Perspective: Just as I evolve as an artist, your relationship with a piece will evolve over time.

Your Home: Don't be afraid to move your art around. Rotate pieces between rooms, or store some away for a while and rediscover them later. This keeps your space fresh and allows you to see familiar works with new eyes.

5. Trust Your Instincts.

My Perspective: Ultimately, the best way to live with art is to trust your instincts and choose pieces that resonate with you on a personal level.

Your Home: Don't worry about trends or what others think. Buy what you love, and create a space that reflects your unique taste and personality. Living with art is an ongoing dialogue, a dynamic relationship that evolves over time.

I hope these ideas help you enjoy your art collection more and feel its positive impact in your daily life.
